Dante Busquets

Dante Busquets. Mexico City, 1969. Dante attended a BFA in photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, SF, CA. He has shown individually in Mexico and in 25+ group shows nationally and overseas. In 2006 he won the Acquisition Prize of the Mexican Photography Biennale for his SATELUCO project, in which he documents a notorious suburb north of Mexico City. He received the Descubrimientos PHE grant from PhotoEspaña ’09, and the Leica Grant from FotoFest in Houston TX, USA, 2008. In 2012 he became part of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte (National System of Art Creators), a 3-year programme from the FONCA (Mexican National Fund for Culture and Arts), 2012-2104, with the project “False Memory”.
