Louisa Boeszoermeny

Louisa Boeszoermeny (*1991) studied photography at Lette-Verin Berlin and is currently a student of Fine Arts at UdK (University of Fine Arts) Berlin (Class Josephine Pryde). In 2018 she was selected as an artist of the "Parallel Cycle 2" photo mentoring program (2018-2019) and she won the "Lette Design Award" in 2017. Her video works have been screened internationally and her photo work has been exhibited throughout Germany and Europe. Boeszoermeny had her first solo show at Weiss Berlin in 2019. In her projects she examines essential components of existence. Be it on a very personal level or wrapped in more distanced dimensions, she aims at making a universal statement without losing an intimate approach. Subliminal dynamics and questions of power and control are topics she approaches in her work thorugh a queer-feminist lens.
