Orode Onakufe Gerald was born in the Nigeria Delta State, and had his education in the University of Benin City, Nigeria and completed B.A honours in 2012. He has been participating in exhibitions both in Nigeria and outside the country since his student years. He was awarded in many shows that includes; Post-Primary scholarship Award; Bruce Onobrakpeya Foundation award in 12th Harmattan Workshop; Award of Excellence Department of Fine & Applied arts, University of Benin and so on. He is presently a member of National Geographic Photographic Community and also member in Society of Nigerian Artists. In 2015 he was selected for participating in New York/ Dubai contemporary Art Biennale with his selected photographs.
