Heli Kaskinen

Heli Kaskinen (b. 1981) is a visual artist who lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. In her works, Kaskinen combines photography with conceptual art in a novel way. Her visual style is often minimalistic and playful. At the moment Kaskinen studies contemporary photography in the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of the Arts Helsinki as well as in Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. During the past couple of years Kaskinen's works have been exhibited abroad and in various group exhibitions in Finland. Kaskinen held her first solo exhibition in spring 2016 and her works have been shown also in other contexts of photography. Kaskinen's video work Regards, Terhi (2013) gained 1st place in the Best Multimedia of the Year category in the Press Photos of The Year 2013 competition organised by Finnish Press Photographers Association.
