I photograph and I also re-use photographs to make new work, looking at identity, including in relation to consumerism. 'Short cuts to success' was the featured portfolio for July on photomonitor.co.uk, shortlisted for the Espy photo award 2017 and was selected for artonapostcard.com. 'Short cuts to success' is about consumerism and how it shapes and distorts our identity and self-perception through the images filtered through fashion magazines. The images combine self-portraits and photographs from fashion spreads and these new images provide a jumping off point for critical self-reflection.
