I am Giovanni Pigliapochi, a general medical doctor currently working in Pavia, Italy, at Fondazione Costantino onlus, a psychiatric facility. I am in direct contact with patients with physical and mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, depression, and development disorders like autism. I have lived and studied in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Portugal, and Italy. During my studies, I volunteered in organizations for migrant communities, as well as, people with Down Syndrome. After receiving the doctorate, I continued my work in migrant shelters supporting communities needing medical attention.
