Marie Haefner

Photographer

Marie Haefner is a photographer and photo editor based in Frankfurt/Main. She holds an M.A. in Comparative Art and Literature and studied Applied Photography and Time-Based Media at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her work lies at the intersection of portrait and documentary photography and is informed by her theoretical research background on contemporary forms of image-making as rhizomatic practice. Her photos have been exhibited, among others, at FOTO Wien (2022), Sheriff Projects, Paris (2021) and City Surfer Office, Prague (2020). She has worked for publications such as DIE ZEIT, ZEITmagazin, Republik, Capital, VICE, Monocle, ZEIT Verbrechen and Der Standard.
