“I can’t wait” series
Hamburg 2019-2022
I am an impatient person. I need to be productive all the time.
In lockdown, I set out to stage small, simple still lifes in my studio.
A kind of “ready-made.” I only ever took a maximum of 10 – 15 minutes for each picture.
I staged things that were lying around in the studio.
Or I just photographed things while walking the dog, which is what I usually do anyway.
That’s not “street photography” – I call it “I am just looking”.
The connections are always important to me. What does one do with the other? How do different ingredients combine? A + B = ?
The interplay of different elements is what makes it so appealing.
I am curious and excited about how the series will continue.
And I’m grateful that Der Greif is featuring my work.
