Artist Blog
Every week an artist whose single image was published by Der Greif is given a platform in which to blog about contemporary photography.
I can’t wait

Everything does something together.
Every movement, every conversation, and every touch starts something in us.
It doesn’t matter whether everything makes sense or not.
Personally, I like the tension.
But even more, I like the harmony.
When everything corresponds comfortably with each other, like in an orchestra.
In the artistic context, I like the nonsense, and the disharmony.
It appeals to me when something doesn’t make sense.
This series was created in 2020.
A friend and great photographic artist Felix Schoeppner inspired me to try his way of working.
He often needs days to create a set for one of his pictures.
But I am far too impatient for that and it only took me 10-15 minutes to take each picture.
I wanted to create many images in a short time without much frippery.
Without thinking about meaningfulness. Simply by quickness.
My music tip for this: “Lisa Morgenstern – Glass (Solo Piano)”
