Geschichten und Geschichte des zoologischen Museums Kiel – Katrin Grimm
Sep 17, 2015 - Norman Hoppenheit & Benjamin Gutheil
Next we want to introduce you to the book »Rüsselkäfer, Mondfisch, Nashornvogel, Wisentkuh: Geschichten und Geschichte des Zoologischen Museums Kiel«* by Katrin Grimm. It portrays the "residents" of the Zoological Museum in Kiel. Hidden behind lifeless faces of the exhibits are fascinating, insightful and often amusing stories. These are told by the former museum director Dr. Wolfgang Dreyer. The many preserved animals attest to the long history of the museum and also the past and present influence Kiel has on Germany´s scientific community. We found the way these creatures are revived to be quite amusing. *»Weevil, Sunfish, Hornbill, Wisentkuh: stories and history of the Zoological Museum of Kiel« Katrin Grimm
