Hi readers. My name is Amanda Lopez. I am a photographer originally from Sacramento, CA, currently living and working between Denver and Los Angeles.

I picked up my first camera in high school. Since then, I have been making personal work as a way to better understand and process the complexities of life. My latest project, “Guadalupe”, is the culmination of more than a decade of making photographs that investigate the role that Mexico’s patron saint, Our Lady Of Guadalupe, has had in my life and work. Over the course of the week, I will be sharing behind-the-scenes insights into these photographs, as well as introducing you to influences and inspirations in my practice.
