Marina Rosa Weigl – LUX (excerpts)
Nov 25, 2016 - Anna Ziegler
„The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.“ – Albert Einstein
Marina Rosa Weigl´s work LUX is poetic reflection of the power of light.
The aesthetic effect of light eludes itself from measurability and predictability. Even the seemingly simple term of brightness, ranging from bright to dark, is deeply subjective. Light is immaterial yet visible, it can be an object and a phenomenon at the same time.
