The NYC Department of Records municipal archives feature an unique impressive collection of over 900.000 historical photographic images, documents as well as video and audio files.Starting in the 1920s the collection consists of a wide variety of unusual and never before seen subjects.The Archive not only offers a unique look on the mundane, everyday life about 100 years ago but also many insights to untouched subjects like police investigation. The images we are about to show you are taken from the NYPD Criminal Prosecution collection and depict crime scene investigation of homicide victims.
