In the letting go (2017- ongoing), I photographed my surroundings and nearby landscape to navigate the dissociation and unease I felt in the aftermath of a depressive episode. I am interested in the process of healing and in the psychological space that one occupies in the transitory state between anguish and recovery. Safety and threat, anxiety and calm coexist, leaving in their wake a strange stillness, a dilation of time. In these photographs, I seek the reflections and echoes of my vulnerability in the world around me, in the ambiguity of my environment, and in the perceptual complexity that surrounds us all.
