Carolin Leszczinski - Pleasure Forever
Dec 18, 2019
Pleasure forever was a little self-made book I made around 2000. Some of the shots are even from end nineties. I got my Yashica T5 and went crazy! Just graduated from art school and moved
back to Berlin. I had the T5 always with me. It is a very personal work about my life at that time in Berlin.
Artist Blog
The blog of Der Greif is written entirely by the artists who have been invited to doing an Artist-Feature. Every week, we have a different author.

nightfall
Dec 24, 2019 - Carolin Leszczinski
Nightfall is also an ongoing project I started a couple of years ago. I only shoot these night images when I am in Canada or the US. Usually, I shoot with my 6×6.
I drive around looking for the right spot, the right light. You never know its always a little thrilling I feel like a voyeur nearly like doing something forbidden, something illegal.
But I only take a picture. The night gives you freedom, makes room for imaginations and allows your mind to wonder around.
occult photography
Dec 23, 2019 - Carolin Leszczinski
This series is out of a booklet, Occult Photography, from the British artist Ben Cottrell. It was published 2017 at: Verlag für zeitgenössische Beobachtung, Cologne.
Occult Photography is an ongoing series of work that explore the dynamic relations between nature and culture, cliche and myth, production and consumption. The photographs develop a rhythm of associations that create a steam of imagination, a sort of mystery film in which traces of an archaic energy might be glimpsed and reignited .
I am a big fan of his art usually he makes paintings and drawings.
And merry Christmas :))
Showtime
Dec 20, 2019 - Carolin Leszczinski
A friend of mine is a concert promoter- for this project I asked him for some press passes to go into the pit with my camera.
The press is only allowed in there for the first 3 songs. I did all these shots on film with my middle format camera(-all metal sort of bands). It was hard to change the roll with all the fog blown in there, the extreme loudness and the sweat of the bass player dripping down on me..
The fans are always focused on the band so they do not realise me taking their pictures.
