First, They Gave Me Bones (2022) is an ongoing mixed media project exploring physicality and intimacy within the digital realm. With the use of different techniques such as photography, 3D rendering, AI and video, I deal with themes such as physicality, queerness, authorship and trans-humanism.
 
The project centers around a science-fiction narrative about a digital entity trying to reconstruct a human body using raw material that I make and feed into the machine. Different computational processes distort, reconstruct, and reinterpret my flesh.
Computer-generated and glitching once-organic tissue endlessly reappear in video loops, existing between the physical and virtual world.
 
In April 2022, the installation was shown at W139 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Featuring sound design by Loradeniz (which you can hear snippets of in the videos), and was curated by Paola Shiamtani.
