Bio – Ignasi Casas
I was born in Barcelona and after working as a biochemist for a while, I decided to star a career as a photographer; first in Barcelona and recently here in London.
Since the very beginnings, I was always very keen on shooting objects and landscapes and they remain my clear preferences today.
My work tends to be very simple and I try to use inexpensive materials to produce my images. I believe that objects can be extremely evocative when used properly.
I think that my scientific background is present in every single of my pictures either in a formal or thematic way.
Some of my regular topics of interests are the human relationship with it's surroundings, ways of representation and scientific principles.
