Photographer Mark Adams explores the impulsive act of walking, voyeurism and flaneurship as integral to street and landscape photography. In the case of landscape, the ritual of walking in itself provides a narrative focus. Throughout his work Adams adheres to a pure, uncontrived process of photographic recording which often involves the use of navigational tools such as maps, GPS data and postal codes which provide a non aesthetic guide to navigation or context for a experiencing an environment. These also serve as an index for the exploration of topographic and cultural aspects of place.
