Noora Sandgren

Photographer

Noora Sandgren is a visual artist working in Helsinki and Hiidenvesi. She´s interested in the relationship between man and his natural surroundings as well as the borders and bendings of photography as medium, in connection to e.g. performance, video and installation. Process has a great weight in her work. Currently she´s pursuing her MA in photography, as well as MA in art education at Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Helsinki. She studied arts & photography in Aalto 2011-2014 and holds a BA in Political Sciences, social psychology from the Helsinki University including studies in Uppsala University, Sweden. Her works have been exhibited in The Finnish Museum Photography, Fotofestival Moravská Třebová in The Czech Republic, Taiga Art Center in St.Petersburg, Showroom Berlin and art fairs such as Paris Photo 2016, Viennacontemporary and CHART as part of the “Helsinki School”. At the moment Sandgren is preparing a solo show for 2017 in Finland.
