Sean Ellingson
Photographer
Sean Ellingson is an American photographer currently living and working in Shanghai, China. He received a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work has been exhibited widely in national and international venues including the Camera Club of New York, Benham Gallery in Seattle, 25 CPW Gallery in NYC, AIA Vitality Park in Hong Kong and most recently in a street photography exhibit juried by Martin Parr at Espace du Centenaire – House of RATP in Paris, France. From 2012 until 2016 he lived and worked in Hong Kong as a freelance photographer shooting assignments and commissions for a variety of clients and international publications. While based in HK, he was awarded a talent grant from Société Générale that allowed him to continue personal projects in both Hong Kong and Vietnam. The award culminated with an exhibition of new work curated by M&C Saatchi Little Stories and was held at Collège des Bernardins in Paris, France during the spring of 2014. His work is held in numerous public and private collections in Hong Kong, France, Japan, and the USA.
