Steve Braun

Steve Braun, born in Demmin in 1989, studied fine arts in Ottmar Hörl's sculpture class from 2013 to 2017 and in Juergen Teller's photography class at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, his professor Juergen Teller awarded him the title of master student. During his studies, he participated in a long-term workshop "Real Fake" by Frederik Busch from 2017 - 2019. Since 2020 Steve Braun lives and works in Berlin. His works operate across borders and are situated between documentation, visual experimentation and staged imagery. In his photographic and installation works, Steve Braun uses a pictorial symbolic language borrowed from ethnographic, cultural-historical or religious contexts.
