Profile
Aishling Muller
Photographer
Aishling Muller (B 1980 Ireland) spends much of her time aiming a lens directly on her experience. Upon completing an audiovisual degree in 2006, Aishling secured an internship with Magnum photos in NYC. This deeply nurtured her practice, leading to the first exhibition of her works in Westmeath in 2007. She continued and trained with an MA (NCAD Dublin, Art in the Digital World) and performance (Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin), while continually working with digital photography, video, community arts, and writing. Most recently she has spent three years inspired by the landscapes and artistic vibrancy of Iceland. There Aishling was involved in many and various projects, she ran photography projects, was involved in film and festival productions, became a member of FISL (Icelandic Association of Contemporary Photography), joined Listastofan arts collective, and delivered a TED X on Rethinking Creativity. She has since relocated to Ireland. Aishling has been involved in community projects, group and solo exhibitions, workshops, and festivals in Ireland, Iceland, and Greece, while also exhibiting work in Sweden, Scotland, Spain, Germany, and the US.
