Andrea Wilmsen

Photographer

Andrea Wilmsen is a German artistic photographer, currently living between Berlin and Chicago. After studying communication science and working in a creative agency she decided in 2008 to dedicate herself completely to photography. In 2017 she gained a scholarship from the University of Fine Arts in Salzburg. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally, a.o. at Goethe Institute Los Angeles, Villa Aurora, Le Festival Voies Off des Recontres d´Arles and was featured in art and architecture magazines. Andrea deepened her studies with Eva Bertram at Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin and is a member of VG-Bildkunst, Bonn, Germany. A selection of her work can be found amongst others at the catalogue of Catalan photography, initiated by the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
