Arkan Zakharov

Arkan Zakharov was born in Moscow, Russia, and immigrated to Toronto, Canada in his teens. He was introduced to analog photography by his family's friends as a child and was drawn to the act by its potential for communication and spontaneity. As a result, and over the years, Arkan's inner eye trained on intuitive, as opposed to referenced inspiration, and found a natural ally in his exploration of both the medium and the subject. Arkan now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
