Profile

Berangere Fromont

Photographer

French photographer lives and works in Paris. She studied literature and cinema at La Sorbonne. Her images have been exhibited in several group shows in France, Germany and Latvia. Cosmos was selected for the Leica Oskar Barnack Price and edited in a book by Andre Frère Editions in 2015. If she’s primarily interested in the human, she likes to combine portraits and landscapes in a game of visual connections. Always obsessed by truth. Intimate, collective and literary references, shooting on the spot and staged mingle are revolving around the central concept of her work, the notion of resistance. "There is every reason to be pessimistic, but it is all the more necessary to open eyes at night, to move relentlessly, to recover in search of fireflies."
