Deanne Sokolin

Deanne Sokolin (born, New York City) received a BFA from The Boston Museum School and an MFA at The School of Visual Arts in New York. An early adopter of digital photography and new media, her photographs have been widely exhibited at galleries and museums including, Aperture Foundation, ICP and Tate Modern, among others. Sokolin is an ICP Infinity award nominee and her work is held in numerous public collections including Harvard’s Fogg Art Museum. She has been a Lecturer in Photography at Marlboro College, Princeton University, Rhode Island School of Design, and SVA. In 2020, Sokolin’s work from the series, "Placing Stones" was included in Everyday Dora Maar, at Tate Modern, London. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
