Fernanda Liberti

Photographer

Fernanda Liberti is a multi-media fine artist working with photography and video. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she moved to London in 2013 to complete her foundation degree at the University of the Arts. She received a distinction, and a Best in Show award for her work 'FFF', a photodocumentary diary of the controversial NGO Fuck For Forest. Fernanda then continued her education at the London College of Communication, where she graduated with High-Class Honours in her BA degree in Photography. Since then, Fernanda has divided her time between Brazil and Europe, working on an array of projects and for a diverse set of clients. Her work has been featured in the Best of Photography Book 2017, AnOther, M Journal, Marie Claire and Sleek Magazine, among other publications. In 2021, she was selected by I-D magazine as one of the Brazilian photographers to watch. She is currently getting her MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art. Her work touches on themes such as body positivity, ecology, feminism, landscape, decoloniality and queer rights. The work is an attempt to understand our relationship to the ever-shifting environments in which we live. A study to explore post-colonial roles and experiences of people of colour, women and LGBTQ+ people in the twenty-first century.
