Johnny Sullivan

A chef, musician and actor in New York before he studied photography at ICP in 2013, Johnny has moved his practice to Portland, OR in recent years and continues working in restaurants. Turning to film after graduating, Johnny uses a vintage 35mm camera to make his ongoing work Distance from the Sun, a personal study exploring connection and emotional representation. In 2021, he began the studio work Let Things Fall, a series of abstract paintings using alternative process chemicals on color photo paper.
