Julie Hascoet

Photographer

I was born in Douarnenez (Brittany, France) in 1989. I studied Visual Arts at the University from 2007 to 2009. I graduated from École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (Arles, France) in 2012. My work is about still life. I take pictures of remains, ruins - I work on forms which are no longer complete, fragile, in-between disappearing and resisting. From july to november 2012, I was artist-in-residency in Mexico City. Since 2013, I am traveling around Europe with the project ZINES OF THE ZONE, that I founded with Guillaume Thiriet. It is a mobile library dedicated to self-published photobooks and photozines.
