Kristian Smith's work foregrounds the gaze and a sense of dislocation in works using appropriated imagery, presented within and alongside configurations of both observational and found photography. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she is a previous Artist in Residence at Fondazione Fotografia, Modena, Italy for Stills Centre for Photography, Edinburgh, Scotland.
