Martin Essl

Photographer

Austrian artist Martin Essl born in 1982, lives and works in Paris. He studied Photography and Visual Communication at Art University in Linz and at the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d’art in Paris. In 2015 he published his first book “Le Château Rouge No 1” with Kehrer Verlag, Heidelberg Berlin. At the moment he is working on the sequel of "Le Château Rouge No 1" and his "Paris" project. In 2015, “Le Château Rouge No 1” was shortlisted at the Recontres Arles Photo Folio Review and is a selected title for the German Photo Book Award 2016.
