Sam Hutchinson

Sam Hutchinson, (b. 1993, Sunderland) is an artist and image-maker currently based in Leeds, UK. He is alumni from Leeds Arts University and School of the Damned, and part of the team at Serf studios and Project Space. He produces, and is featured in, many publications that are sold worldwide.

His practice is currently centred around highlighting and/or protesting potential failures and social phenomenons, and studying the application of authority through the visual world- using these as starting points for large bodies of work, questions are raised about inbuilt belief/learned behaviours within society. Physical and emotional forms of dominance are physically manifested, and a selective and hazy utopia are imagined through the found and reconstructed cityscape.
