Sebastian Mejia

Photographer

Lives and works in Santiago de Chile Born in Peru, raised in Colombia and studied photography in the School of Visual Arts, NY. He has exhibited his work in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile, Galeria Metales Pesados Visual, Galeria AFA and the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center. He pubished his first book "Panorama" with DAGA Ediciones. Sebastian Mejia´s work focuses on vestiges of primitive life present in the urban space. Its serial character evoques the sculptural observations of Minimalism and Land Art, but maintains grounded in the photographic tradition of observing physical space and constructing within the photographic frame.
