Silvia Bigi
Photographer
Born in Ravenna in 1985. She degreed at Dams – Visual Art College in Bologna cum laude continuing her studies with a Master degree at Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia Adams, Rome, and a course at the International Center of Photography, New York. Her research is focused on photography but she makes use of other media, like video, textile and sound. Her artworks have been exhibited in group and solo shows, nationally and internationally: to name a few, Nebula, solo show at Schleifmuhlgasse 12-14 (Wien, 2015); the group shows Grenz Erfahrung (Borders) at Hinterland Galerie, Wien, in 2016. Quando l’acqua, at MAAD in 2017. In 2017 is also finalist of Premio Francesco Fabbri for the arts and third prize of 1502 – Biennale Giovani Artisti. In 2018 she presents her solo show L’albero del latte, curated by Francesca Lazzarini, at Fondazione Dino Zoli, Forlì. She is finalist at Combat Prize and Artteam Cup 2018.
