Simone Engelen

Photographer

Simone Engelen (1988) is a visual artist from The Netherlands. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2012 and finished the Master Program in Photography at the AKV St. Joost Academy in Breda in 2016. 

Currently she is working on the project ’27 Drafts’, for which she returned to the remote mountain village that served as a backdrop to the upsetting incident in her past. The project acts as a starting point for an open discussion and research about gender equality.
