Tytus Szabelski

Tytus Szabelski – born in 1991, graduated journalism and social communication on Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, and photography at the University of Arts in Poznań. Currently student of Interdiscipinary Doctoral Studies on UAP. His photographs were published in local and national press, worked with Center of Contemporary Art in Toruń, Miłość Gallery in Toruń and Krytyka Polityczna magazine (Political Critique), member of Toruń-based Grupa nad Wisłą group. Author of individual exhibitions and participant of group shows. Awarded with scholarship of the city of Toruń in culture (2012 and 2016), finalist of national and international contest of best art diplomas (Najlepsze Dyplomy ASP 2016 in Gdańsk, Poland and StartPoint Prize in Prague, Czech Republic). Apart from his personal project he is focused on architecture photography, especially of post-war modern architecture. Editor of an online magazine dedicated to contemporary photography Magenta (www.magentamag.com), also published in an online version of SZUM magazine, Polish quarterly about contemporary art.
