Ulla Kokki

Ulla Kokki (b. 1992) is a Finnish photographic artist who is currently living and working in Helsinki. Kokki is interested in the experiences of uniqueness, loss and reminiscence. Her work is focusing on the act of taking a photograph; how does taking a photograph change our presence: when you are behind the camera you are always too far away but on the other hand a photograph is always a gesture towards another. In 2015 Kokki graduated from Turku Arts Academy with a BA degree in Fine Arts, Photography. She will start her MA studies in fall 2016 in Aalto University.
