Ulrike Hannemann

Ulrike Hannemann was born in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in 1977. After studying pharmacy at the Humboldt University Berlin, she studied Fine Arts / Photography at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, graduating in 2013 as a Meisterschülerin (postgraduate fine arts / photography) with Peter Piller. In the past years, Hannemann has regularly worked in various Southeast Asian countries, where she has realised several photographic projects, including in Vietnam, Malaysia and in Singapore. Her work has been shown in numerous curated solo and group exhibitions, most recently e.g. at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt in Berlin, the Hangar in Brussels (BE), the Pavillon Populaire in Montpellier (FR) and the Kunstforum in Darmstadt. She lives and works in Berlin and Leipzig.
