Yichen Zhou

Yichen Zhou, with an M.F.A. in fashion photography at the School of Visual Arts, is a New York-based photographer, director, and visual artist. Born and raised in China under cross-cultural and multilingual influences, Yichen found herself creating parallel worlds with photoflashes, where languages and identities are blurred, and boundaries of senses expanded beyond visual norms. Humor, absurdity, and camp-style take a central place in her work, often assisted with the technique of overexposure.
