Yisook Sohn

Photographer

I was born in Korea in 1968. I received BA in Korean literature from the Ewha Woman’s University and MFA in photography from the Sangmyung University at Seoul in 2011. My work has been exhibited in Korea and in the United States, including at Photo Center Northwest in Seattle, Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco, F.L.O.A.T. gallery in New York, Detroit Center for Photography in Pontiac, Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, as well as featured on Women in Photography. I was in the 2010 Critical Mass Top 50, and the recipient of Lens Culture International Exposure Awards in 2009 as an Honorable Mention, 3rd annual photography masters cup in 2009 as an Honorable Mention, and 1st edition of Hey, Hot Shot! 2008, Honorable Mention. Work and live in Seoul, Korea.
