Christoph Tannert

Christoph Tannert is the artistic director of the »Künstlerhaus Bethanien« in Berlin. Tannert, born 1955 in Leipzig, lives in Berlin since 1976. From 1976 until 1981, he studied Science of Art and Classical Archaeology at the Humboldt-University, Berlin. In 1991, je joined Künstlerhaus Bethanien GmbH as project manager, since 2000, he is its director.
His area of expertise is contemporary art with a focus on painting, photography, intermedia, as well as art & rock. Since 1981, Tannert has had numerous publications in catalogues as well as in specialized press, including art-critics for ORB and rbb (Radio Brandenburg, Radio 3). He has curated numerous exhibitions. Tannert is a member of the editorial advisory board for »European Photography« and a regular reviewer at »FotoFest« in Houston/Texas since 2006.
