Guest Room aims to spark collaborations. That’s why Marie Gomis-Trezise is teaming up with David Uzochukwu in choosing the theme for this instalment. David a self-taught visual artist. He has collaborated with artists like Little Dragons, FKA twigs and Pharrell, been commissioned by Nike, Dior, and Hermès, and has exhibited at Bozar, Photo Vogue Festival, and Lagos Photo Festival. David has provided the following Sorbian(*) saying as a framework for your submissions:
“The night doesn’t swallow us, it lets us stumble.“
(*) Sorbs are a West Slavic ethnic group predominantly inhabiting Lusatia, a region divided by Germany and Poland.
three words wherein there are endless abstract and concrete possibilities to communicate what goes beyond or beneath the surface of language, welcoming an amplification of open-ended interpretations.
