Selection by Tiina Rauhala
I felt like a kid in the candy store. Picking out the images that tempted
and teased me. I could not stop. Taking these images out of
their context was interesting but also felt very violent.
I started to build new stories, new poems, new scripts. Attempting to
visualize the feelings that I had at that very moment and the feelings that
seeing all the images stirred up in me.
Who are we and where is this all going? I noticed these new stories ended
up being quite dark and melancholic.
I’m glad that there are so many good images. Images are strong tools to
share feelings, thoughts and knowledge. Tools that help to understand
moments and episodes.
I thank all the photographers and Der Greif. Thank you for giving me these
interesting days inside your worlds.
